NRF Helping Retailers Reopen Shops

Here's everything you need to know about re-opening stores post COVID-19

Although no one knows when coronavirus will fade away and when things will finally go back to normal – it’s always smart to prepare in advance and be all set to go.

If you’re a retailer and don’t know where to begin, NRF has created the Coronavirus Resources for Retailers site with updated information on COVID-19, to help you out.

It’s kind of a guide that has been put together especially for retailers, to provide you with the resources you need and the legal advice you may be seeking right now. Basically offering you an abundance of information about post-corona. How perfect!?

The National Retail Federation is truly a hotbed of ideas on the present and future of the retail industry. They host some of the industry’s most lucrative flagship shows (with the latest one taking place in New York – yes we attended!)

NRF is a major player in the retail world. So when they talk, you probably want to listen. Especially if you have doubts and uncertainties about how to go about reopening your stores to the public.

They’re sharing some of the latest information on retail safety and security precautions, SBA (small business administration) loan information, state resources, merchandising and retail sales reporting calendar, job board which includes a list of companies hiring now, and so much more.

On the homepage of their site they write:

“The health and safety of customers and workers is retailers’ top priority. NRF is closely monitoring the situation around the COVID-19 pandemic, coordinating with government agencies, health experts and retailers as the situation continues to evolve.

NRF is addressing the supply chain implications as well as developments related to the spread of the virus globally and domestically. Please come back to this page for regular updates.”

What we found particularly interesting is their “Operation Open Doors” guide, which explains how businesses should begin to open up to employees and customers. It is derived from inputs from hundreds of retail industry leaders.

It focuses on four functional areas for America’s retail sector: health and safety, people and personnel, logistics and supply chain, litigation and liability. Your path to reopening shouldn’t be a complicated one after this international health crisis. Explore the Operation Open Doors Checklist, for more information.

You can access a list of the latest updates on a daily and hourly basis, too. Whether it be conference calls that talk about the private sector and other general COVID-19 information affecting the retail sector.

And if you’re interested in receiving timely updates about COVID-19 from NRF directly to your inbox, you can sign up for that on their site too.

Whatever path to recovery you take, we wish you great success!
