Pedigree Puts the Zoom on Dogs

Always wanted a furry friend? Now’s the perfect time to adopt one and this is the perfect way

What’s worse than being shut in during the pandemic is being shut in alone. As a result, many people have opted to take in a furry companion. Many dogs await good homes at shelters, but how are potential adopters to find them?

As it has become the answer to many problems of connection, Zoom enters the picture with some help from the Pedigree Foundation’s Dogs on Zoom  program. See the video below:

It gives prospective pet parents the option to virtually meet shelter dogs live via video chat on Zoom with designated times for the meetings at specific shelters. The Pedigree brand is not just offering a platform for hosting but pledging to pay all adoption fees for the dogs adopted through Dogs on Zoom.

It’s a wonderful gesture that is perfectly on brand not just for the dog food company but for its foundation, which was founded “in 2008 by dog lovers with a passionate belief that every dog deserves a loving home.”

Its mission is solving “the problem of the millions of homeless dogs in this country.” It not only provides money to shelters and rescue organizations but actively encourages people to do what they can, including adopting dogs in shelters.

If you were thinking of getting a dog now, you can check it out. The dogs currently featured are from the Nashville Humane Association, but the program is actively seeking out additional shelters. Rest assured that all safety protocols are in place, and dogs are delivered via curbside pickup.
