In September 2020, California-based Save Mart introduced contactless delivery with  Starship Technologies’ autonomous robots. Then, for the holiday season, it rolled out the robots in the guise of the reindeer who pull Santa’s sleigh.

In December  2021 Blitzen, Comet, Cupid, Dancer, Dasher, Donner, Prancer, Vixen, and the red-nosed Rudolph have returned to haul up to 20 pounds of groceries a piece for Save Mart customers who use the Starship Food Delivery app.
