On January 22, TikTok announced that launch of its Creator Portal. The idea is to make joining the platform as a creator more attractive by offering guidance and resources to help them connect effectively with their target audience.

The portal is meant to be useful for both beginners and more advanced users. For those just venturing in, it offers “the basics of getting started on TikTok, connecting with their audience, and cultivating best practices to bring their videos to the next level.”
Those who are already on “the next level” can still find it useful, though, as “the Creator Portal will also feature articles that help interpret community trends, dive deeper into the use of sound and music, and spotlight creative effects, helping to inspire and diversify content creation.”
It’s organized around six primary categories for frequently asked questions and is broken down into the following six learning categories:
- Getting started on TikTok
- TikTok creation essentials
- TikTok foundations for success
- TikTok content strategy
- Community guidelines and safety
- Getting paid to create
As is only appropriate, much of this is communicated via TikTok videos. Accordingly, the announcement recommends following these official @creatorportal TikTok accounts, which includes appearances from the likes of @lgndfrvr, @flossybaby, @siennamae, @coachmichelle who have already established themselves in the TikTok community.
