Fasten your seatbelts, Hollywood fans – some say that coronavirus might affect Hollywood movie releases until 2024.
Since the outbreak of Covid-19, the world has been asked to practice social distancing. That’s why it’s impossible for film directors, producers, actors, makeup artists, and more to group together into studios and start filming.
At first, red-carpet premieres were cancelled and as it became clearer that we all needed to “flatten the curve” – most of Hollywood has completely shut down production on movies and TV shows.
Events
Significant shifts in the entertainment industry, with concert tours, Broadway shows, and film and television production have either been canceled or postponed.
And, now that the summer Olympics have officially been postponed, a wave of more similar news is happening:. This week it was announced that The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony was pushed from May 2nd to November 7th.
Movies
We’re sure many of you are contemplating whether you should release new products these days. Taking a note from Warner Bros, we’ll say: wait.
They pushed Wonder Woman 1984 from June to August – because a summer movie must come out in the summer.
Is this an optimistic assessment? Remains to be seen.
TV/VOD
Customers will remember who remembered them during these hectic times – and Amazon is perhaps the most customer-centric company out there.
With millions of kids cooped up at home, the retail giant is opening up free streaming access to more than 40 children’s shows — to customers worldwide.
If you are taking notes, then borrowing one from Amazon’s book is never a bad idea, especially when it comes to putting your customers first.
