Here’s how Bed Bath & Beyond Perfectly Bundle Content with Offering

Along with Decorist, the company launched a new digital shopping experience for College students stuck in their childhood bedroom this fall

As the pandemic continues to affect students globally, many won’t be returning to school in September. In response to virtual college courses, some brands have taken creative initiates to maintain healthy learning environments for remote learners – and fortify their existence in people’s top-of-mind further.

Bed Bath & Beyond has teamed up with sister company, Decorist, to help students redesign and upgrade their childhood bedrooms to create a sophisticated, more mature college dorm feel. It’s the perfect way to get these young learners into the right vibe while studying from home and motivated towards the upcoming fall semester.

Decorist, the online interior design service brand, helps to give that final touch in this new digital shopping experience called, College from Home.

It also offers customers an interactive online style quiz and the option to collaborate with a professional designer if they need some guidance.

The College from Home section on Bed Bath & Beyond’s website does offer free design tips, though, and other shopping essentials including
lap desks, organization tools, accessories, and bedding to transform childhood bedrooms into dreamy dorm spaces.

“College students are adjusting to a new learning environment this year,” said Cindy Davis, executive VP and chief brand officer of Bed Bath & Beyond and president of Decorist.
“In July, we saw searches on our site up more than 200% for desks and office chairs compared to the same period last year. They need design guidance and inspiration to create a conducive space —whether they’re living at home or on campus. With that in mind, and along with insights from current students, we designed these spaces to set students up for academic success, as well as to be cozy, comfortable, and personal.”

The design team at Decorist provides these 3 room examples:

  • Chill Camp Vibes – Rustic and muted
  • Low-Key Bohemian – Bright and cozy
  • Modern Glam – Mature and chic

And, to make the entire shopping experience as safe and secure as possible for parents and students, BOPIS (Buy-Online-Pickup-In-Store) and contactless Curbside Pickup services will be available.

Overall, this is a very rounded, well thought-out way to respond to your customers in times of need.

This isn’t the first time consumers are happy with how Bed Bath & Beyond treats and nurtures its customer relationships either. The brand is known for constantly giving out coupons on entire purchases (I personally carry a bunch in my bag) and providing the best online shopping experience.

With that being said, college students RN can get
20% off their entire purchase every time they shop on select items by signing up for a limited-time loyalty program called, College Savings Pass. But hurry if you’re interested, it offers unlimited use in-store or online till Sept. 30, 2020.

And finally, just a bit more from the mentoring companies – tips for parents and students to consider before shopping:

  • Create a Cohesive Look
  • Take a Seat
  • Brighten Up
  • Express Yourself
  • Make It Comfy
  • Sleep in Style
  • Get Organized
  • Fuel Up

Such a combination of relevant, helpful content, bundled up with perfectly timed offering, is really the gold standard for how to strengthen a brand’s positioning in times of dealing with a global crisis. We, the teachers at PostFunnel, give an A+ on Bed Bath & Beyond’s new initiative with Decorist.
