From Superbowl ads featuring hip-hop royalty to animations celebrating the Chinese New Year, brands put creativity on full throttle

The Call: Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show

Pepsi’s Super Bowl Halftime commercial unites Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. From Eminem having a rap battle with a younger version of himself to Snoop Dogg cruising in a vintage automobile, the ad follows each artist as they assemble for the Super Bowl.

We love how Pepsi uses this ad to give consumers something to talk about and increase its share of voice as the Super Bowl builds up. 

Gucci / The North Face: Oakworth Station

In this ad, TikTok train star Francis Bourgeois, appears as a train conductor who welcomes a group of North Face and Gucci clad passengers aboard a train. Bourgeois and his guests then embark on a trip through the Swiss Alps.

We love how imaginative this ad is and how North Face and Gucci use a TikTok star to increase their brand reach.

Coca-Cola: Chinese New Year Real Magic

A humble bottle of Coca-Cola is at the center of a family reconnection.  This ad tells the story of how a father and son reconnect to mark the Chinese Lunar New Year. We love how this ad uses folklore and illustration to tell the story of magical family connections.

Amazon: Prom

This sentimental ad from Amazon tells the story of a young couple swaying to I Only Have Eyes For You by The Flamingos. The camera cuts to ‘now’, showing the same couple reliving the moment in their home in their old age. We love how Amazon uses music to capture a a lifetime’s worth of emotion in 60 seconds. 

Walkers: Love Crisps

Shot from the bottom of the crisp packet, Walkers’ playful ad gives us a front seat view of snack connoisseurs enjoying the flavorsome chips, while Madness’s It Must Be Love plays in the background. We love how this playful ad creatively captures the enjoyment that Walkers brings to consumers. 

Tropicana: Just Another Day

From a broken table to a creepy hotel, Tropicana’s  tongue-in-cheek disaster-style ad gives viewers a comical insight into extreme events that would definitely interrupt the course of anyone’s day. But whatever the day brings, Tropicana will bring the sunshine. 

We love the two-minute-long ad for its freshness and hilarious take on unfortunate events.

Apple: Everyone But Jon Hamm

In this ad, we see Madmen star Jon Hamm, in his luxury apartment flicking through the streaming platform. Listing all of the actors and musicians who feature on the network, Hamm becomes irate everyone is on  Apple TV+except Jon Hamm. Desperate to get on Apple TV+, he jumps on a call with Tom Hanks to get a part in his next film.

We love how Apple uses this humorous ad to highlight the features of Apple TV+.

Specsavers: That’s Specsavers Love 

Set to a retro 70s aesthetic, this ad features various glasses-wearers looking at the camera lens while an optometrist-backed expertise voiceover states the importance of getting our eyes checked. We love how this ad captures our eyes with humor and its playful feel.
