You might expect to be able to watch your favorite show at an Airbnb, but at one Florida spot, you can live inside it.
A host in Tampa Bay, Florida named Frank Albert has recreated the set of Friends inside his home. For $276 a night, guests can stay in the two-bedroom, two-bathroom home with features reminiscent of the hit 90s show. Albert, who has multiple listings in the Tampa area, is known as an Airbnb Superhost, with almost 3,500 reviews on Airbnb.

The house’s living room has bright purple walls, similar to those in Rachel and Monica’s New York City apartment. And the big comfy chairs look like they could have been found in the show’s coffee shop and hangout, Central Perk. The kitchen’s bright blue walls store plates in every color and mugs with the Friends logo on them. Guests can take a picture in front of a yellow frame on one of the walls, or play foosball like Joey and Chandler.
One of the two bedrooms has several umbrellas on the wall, much like the ones the cast uses in the opening credits of the show. Fans of the show would also notice small details, like a ukulele on the living room wall, a copy of The Shining in the freezer, or Hugsy, the penguin stuffed animal perched on one of the armchairs.
Of his decision to design the home this way, Albert said: “I definitely want it to be a trip down memory lane for all Friends fans when they come and stay here and be able to walk around and take pictures of everything and kind of relive their childhood or even adulthood.”
Aibrnb has seen business boom during the pandemic, as people seek to get away while also staying safe being Covid-conscious. In the fourth quarter of 2021 alone, Airbnb’s revenue grew 78% to $1.53 billion, higher than the projected $1.46 billion.
In this competitive market, Airbnb hosts are hoping to stand out and snag travelers. Turning a home into a TV set is just one way to do that.
