9 Chrome Apps, Make Marketing a Breeze

One way to increase efficiency is to find ways to save, share, and curate content quickly

It’s Monday – what does your week look like? Think about all of the items on your to-do list. You’ve found some hacks, some apps and some time-savers to make things work for you.

Chrome extensions are a great way to make the day-to-day items a little easier. From saving articles to downloading videos, photos, and Instagram stories, these apps help you keep track of content shared by or featuring your client, making sure that everything is cataloged for a quick and easy post. Your client will thank you, their audience will love it and you might just find an extra 30 minutes or so for a lunch away from your desk.

Boomerang for Gmail

This is a true lifesaver. It allows you to write emails and then schedule them to be sent at any time you’d like. It allows you to answer client and team questions in bulk at any time of the day or night. They also have an app for iPhone which allows you to do this on the go! The best part of this app is scheduling follow-up reminders for new client pitches and/or feedback requests from current clients.

InstaG Downloader

Managing client shares and features on Instagram can be challenging, especially on Instagram stories. This app allows you to download images and videos from Instagram feeds on your desktop. For Instagram stories, you can also use the Mobile “Stories” app to download this content as needed.

Storyful MultiSearch

Finding quality UGC content can be challenging. Verifying it is even more difficult. Storyful is used by journalists and newsroom to verify viral video and you too, can use it for this purpose. This plugin is a lifesaver — it allows you to quickly search for a keyword across multiple platforms (like your product name on launch day) and share the best content possible on each platform for your search query.

OneTab

Pulling together multiple press links for a client? Pitching new influencers? Saving press clips to read later? OneTab is the best solution for all of these needs. It allows you to take all of the tabs open in any browser window and turn them into one list and THEN turn that list into a web page that can be shared in email, on social media and more. The tabs will stay saved as long as you leave them there — if you open them, you can right-click to have the tab saved for a return later in the day, as well.

FB Down

This app is also great for press clips — sometimes, you need to pull out a video or two for a client. Downloading Facebook videos can be challenging and asking the provider for the video can take too much time. This free plugin allows you to click on a video, let it play and then download the video once you engage the plugin. Another great Facebook video, especially if you’re managing Facebook paid campaigns? FB Pixel Helper. Make sure the site you’re viewing or promoting has all of the pixels needed to boost your campaigns with this handy app.

Grammarly

Does your brain move faster than your hands? This one is for YOU! It’s a grammar plug-in that checks every single field of text in any browser (and an app if you pay for it). It checks your Facebook updates, Twitter updates and more. Anything you’re sharing can be checked before you click share, and keep your content (and your clients’) correct and clear.

LastPass

Saving your passwords on a note is sooooo 2005. LastPass is a secure password keeper. Paying for it annually will allow you to access it on any device and the plugin is a quick fix for every, single account you login to on a daily (or hourly!) basis. Save time, stop resetting your passwords and put them all in this secure vault.

BONUS:

Google Translate

We live in a global world and Translate is one of the best plugins to support that. It allows you to translate web pages, images and more. Plus, the Google Translate app will allow you to translate street signs, metro signs and anything you see while you’re on the go in a foreign country. Get familiar with the Chrome plugin and understand how this can work for you.

Save to Pocket

Saving items for later can be a productivity hack… as long as you actually go back and read them! Save to Pocket allows you to have a better chance of reading those saved articles with their mobile app, something that you can put on your iPhone or tablet device. Best of all? You can read these without WiFi. There’s also no limit and no expiration date for your content so it’s a great digital archive. PLUS, the app strips articles of ads and more, making it just the content and nothing but!

These 9 apps will have you shaving time off your day in no time! Another way to use these apps? Making sure that your team is completely synced on all projects and priorities. Understanding who is logging in to which account, sharing high-priority press items across teams, and making sure that everyone is connected to the UGC, video and press content that your clients need to succeed? THAT is what truly saves you time and allows you to deliver to your team and clients on a whole new level.
